FourierAnalyzer

The goal of the application was to test the applicability of FFT to check the presence and propert mounting of cylinderhead screws.

The idea behind it: we define measure lines at the axles of the screws. If the FFT transform along the line has an outstanding value in a predefined range (based on the calibration), the screw is accepted (as in the first two sample image, see the red column in the FFT window). Otherwise the screw is rejected, for xmpl. if it is missing, the most important FFT value is the first one (the static component).

How to use: just snap the measuring rectangle at its middle point and drag it to the checked position (resize and rotate it with the small retcangle on the edge). The upper right windows shows the FFT components (the largest value is depicted in red), the other windows shows the section of the along the line.

Download the program.
